Our acting program consists of beginning as well as advanced classes. Acting classes will include dramatic scene study, on-camera techniques, improvisation, audition techniques, commercial techniques, monologues, building a character, and introduction to theater/stage terminology. All classes are designed to: give the performer basic acting skills, build confidence, help them to feel comfortable in auditions, learn to follow directions, and develop a believability in front of a camera and on stage.

We also have an adult acting program which focuses on scene study, character development and on-camera techniques. Also, adult actors will do scenework from published plays.

Both teens and adult actors will be able to perform a scene on camera and will receive a copy of their taped performance.
Dance is an extremely important discipline to enrich the performer. An actor who cannot dance is most certainly cut out of being cast in a musical or play. All performers need to be able to dance in production numbers and finales. In our dance program, performers will learn jazz, ballet, tap, and hip hop with instruction geared towards stage, film, and music videos. Most choreography in musical theater, motion pictures and music videos stems from jazz steps and combinations than any other form of dance. The more dance experience a performer receives, the more versatile they will become.
Singing is an emotional and vulnerable art. We interview prospective performers to determine if he/she is ready to begin lessons. A young performer's voice is delicate and should be placed in the hands of someone who is concerned with its longevity and health. Our performers sing scales to determine range, learn basic breathing techniques, ear-training exercises, and learn diction and tone. Each performer will be able to sing in tune, know the basic major scale, learn to sing with a microphone, and sing different music intervals with practice. Performers will sing Broadway show tunes, rock, and pop songs. Ensemble and private lessons are offered.

Musical theater brings to life some of the greatest stories of all time. Our musical theater program is performance based where performers memorize lines, songs and simple choreography. Performers will rehearse and perform scenes from popular Broadway shows and movies such as Willy Wonka, Legally Blonde, Billy Elliot, Grease, Sound of Music, Gypsy, Avenue Q (age-appropriate selections), High School Musical, and more. There will be performances at the end of each session for family and friends to attend. Productions will be staged with costumes and scenery.

At the beginning of each session, auditions will be held to cast roles.

Our modeling program is fun and enhances our performer's self-confidence and individuality. The performer will learn modeling terminology such as head shot, callback, composite card, go-sees, etc. Runway classes involve walking, turns, spotting, timing/rhythm, and posture. Commercial print classes involve basic posing techniques for shoots, make-up, wardrobe, and portfolio development. A professional photographer will be present at some of these classes. Performers will participate in fashion shows throughout the year.

Salsa is a form of dance with Caribbean roots. This dance has Cuban and African influences and is danced to Salsa music. The music is eight-beat with dancers alternating between moving on three beats and pausing for one beat. Performers will learn the basic step, the break step, and turns. There is a significant element of dramatic enactment in this type of dance. If available, bring a partner! (this class is for ages 15 to adult).
