We are now registering for our summer theater camp! Performer's Playhouse fosters a warm, supportive environment that encourages creativity and self-confidence.
You create a class schedule prior to starting by choosing what activities you want to take. Children and teens get a chance to see and interact with others whom they share similar interests. At this age, this is invaluable.

DAILY ACTIVITIES
|
| Morning and afternoon classes of performers choice, lunch, one special
activity
each week (presentation by professionals such as magician, juggler, singer, dancer, actor, etc), field trips (
Cinema Paradiso, movie theater, and shows at the Miramar Cultural Center
) |

CLASS CHOICES
|
Acting/Filmmaking Performers will learn monologues, improvisation, and
building
a character. They will also learn filmmaking techniques. Short movies will be filmed featuring the performers for a showcase at the end of each session.
Musical Theater Performers will rehearse musicals and perform them at the end of the session. They will prepare sets, decorate costumes and props, and perform shortened versions of Broadway shows.
Garage Band Performers are grouped into bands and will play instruments such as guitar, drums, and vocal. They will put on a performance at the end of each session.
Stage Combat/Fencing Performers will learn the technique in theater designed to create the illusion of fighting as is done in film, theater, and television. Choreography is learned step by step with no physical contact between performers. A showcase will be held at the end of each session. |
